We are a small, family run Bed and Breakfast in Polzeath, offering fantastic and exceedingly reasonable priced accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Whether you're here for a relaxing beach getaway or to explore the picturesque surroundings, The White Heron is the perfect place to stay. Guests are free to come and go as they please. If however it is your intention to stay out until the early hours of the morning partying, then we are not the place for you. We do not permit smoking in the building as we don’t like it, but we do have a designated smoking area outside with benches. All public areas are centrally heated, not that it matters as we turn it off during the summer anyway (nice and warm in Polzeath!). We look forward to welcoming you to our cosy retreat.
Our double en suites are a home from home...
We are very proud of all our bedrooms. Every year we make sure they are up to the highest standard. All our beds utilise 1000 pocket spring double mattresses (like the ones they use at Premier Inn!) for a good comfortable night’s sleep. Our rooms are kitted out with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible including complimentary soaps and lotions, independent heating, a Smart TV so you can watch internet based viewing such as BBC iPlayer, Youtube etc.
And of course, the best way to start the day is with a hearty breakfast.
An All-You-Can-Eat style meal to start your day served from around 9am to 9.30am ish. Our self-service station offers up top brand cereals with yoghurts, fresh fruit, orange and apple juice, various teas and fresh ground coffees to start you off. Then, Margaret cooks up an awesome Full English Breakfast, consisting of local eggs and bacon with sausages, beans, mushrooms and fried bread, customisable to your taste. Then finish off with toast with an array of different spreads. Still hungry? Ask for more! Dont fancy a fry up? Just ask. We can cater for various tastes and diets, including croissants, smoked haddock, black pudding, something on toast etc.
